Application Deadline is April 28, 2024

Do you have an act to delight the masses at SLC's Busker Fest?

Busker Fest will be held on Friday, May 24 (6 - 10 pm) and Saturday, May 25 (4 - 10 pm) on Block 70—Main Street between 100 and 200 South and McCarthey Plaza.

We are seeking groups and individuals to perform during the festival. There are spaces for circle acts and street acts. Circle acts are typically 30 - 40 minute “shows” in a busker pitch where the performer draws a crowd, performs their show and pitches for tips. We have three circles (or pitches) we will be programing during the event. Street acts will be scheduled in one-hour increments. These are for musicians and other performers that draw from the walk-by traffic. Street acts are most typically improv musical performances and/or acts like street poetry or magic. We also consider street art like caricatures, palm reading, live art demos.

These are paying gigs and a chance to build our city's busking scene. Busker Fest will be programmed in a Vaudeville theme, so please let us know if you have material or costumery that supports that effort. All acts will be considered, so do not let the theme limit your willingness to apply.

Complete the two forms below to tell us a bit about your act. We are open to new and established acts. Provide links that show your existing work. If it’s a new act, do your best to describe fully what you propose for the festival. We invite your creativity and oddity, entertain us!

The demographics questions help us identify gaps and address issues of equity related to our work, thereby supporting our efforts to reflect the diversity of Salt Lake City and Utah in the programs of the Salt Lake City Arts Council. Any demographic information provided will not be used as a qualifying factor for your application. If you prefer not to disclose any demographic information, please indicate below.
